Dining Operations Manager Job

Dairy Freeze Inc. is seeking a Dining Operations Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional customer service and managing the day-to-day operations of our food service establishment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee the daily activities of our dining room, kitchen, and front-of-house staff. As a Dining Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food and service while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including food service counter attendants and food preparers;
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations;
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to improve overall quality of service;
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage;
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, customer satisfaction, and employee performance;
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols;
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Establish work schedules and delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth operation of the dining room and kitchen;
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and human resources, to implement new initiatives and programs;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations and customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate; equivalent experience may also be considered;
  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work well under pressure;
  • Familiarity with food service management software and systems;
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed;
  • Availability for overtime during peak periods, if required.
