The Opportunity:
The Food Safety Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting microbiological and chemical testing to monitor plant performance against predetermined targets.
As a key member of the MLF team, this role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, HACCP, Six Sigma, GMP's, and GLP's. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in a related scientific discipline, such as microbiology, chemistry, or food science, and prior knowledge of laboratory procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbiological and chemical testing to ensure food safety and quality.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide training and support to laboratory staff on new procedures and technologies.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and analysis using statistical software.
