Loan Servicing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Loan Servicing Manager to join our team at VA Capital, a commercial mortgage brokerage firm in Quebec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing analytical thinking and solutions to support our lending activities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Service: Provide continuous high-quality and professional service to support the lending activities of our customers, functioning as a collaborative partner within a processing team.
- Review Lending Instructions: Review lending instructions from customers and agent banks for completeness, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage Loan-Related Transactions: Ensure accurate and timely entry of all loan-related transactions to prevent potential discrepancies, including the precise preparation of all necessary forms for customer transactions.
- Collaborate with Accountancy: Work in collaboration with the Accountancy department to ensure timely and accurate preparation of customer bills for applicable fees and interest.
- Conduct Daily Reviews: Conduct daily reviews of the reconciliation of cash disbursement suspense accounts.
- Reconcile Customer Portfolios: Ensure customer portfolios are reconciled, and any necessary corrections are applied.
- Adhere to Administrative Guidelines: Adhere to established administrative guidelines to ensure transaction processing aligns with departmental procedures, including following internal approval processes and maintaining facility/loan files according to set guidelines.
- Detail-Oriented and Responsive: Be a detail-oriented yet highly responsive multi-tasker who loves a good challenge.
- Strong Time Management: Possess good time management skills and self-discipline, respect established deadlines, and communicate priorities and expectations for various team members.
- Confidentiality and Diplomacy: Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy when handling information of a sensitive and confidential nature.
- Independent Work: Work independently and/or with internal teams, deliver client-ready work, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
- Good Judgment and Customer Support: Have good judgment, a strong customer support orientation, demonstrate a professional demeanor, and maintain confidential information.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or another relevant field.
- Experience in Loan Servicing: Minimum 3 years of experience in servicing and administering real estate loans.
- Software Proficiency: Experience in SS&C Precision LM and/or similar software is a must.
- Microsoft Office: Strong understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and French.
