Job Description

Creekwood Daycare Centre seeks a qualified Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will provide direct care and support to children in our centre, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and is looking for a rewarding career in childcare.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the overall development of children.
  2. Engage children in various activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  3. Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meal and rest periods.
  4. Contribute to written observations on children's progress and submit them to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  5. Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in physical activity throughout the day.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
