Job Summary

We are seeking a Mining Director, Energy & Resources to help implement our strategic plan for the region and support the management of operations in Abitibi. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of this fast-growing market and play a key role in maintaining relationships with numerous customers with strong potential for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in personnel management of the Abitibi region.
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for the region.
  • Monitor local business opportunities and liaise with stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute to business development strategies and activities with customers in the region.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects with local clients, aligning with company values and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain business relations with existing clients and develop new business relationships.
  • Represent CIMA+ in the city's business and socio-economic development activities.
  • Manage business operations, including project management and production of deliverables.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, with experience in a consulting engineering firm an asset.
  • Knowledge of the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sector.
  • Significant network of contacts in the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Experience with P&L responsibilities.
  • Licenced Professional Engineer.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, business acumen.
  • Expertise in team management and mobilizing leadership.
  • Expertise in business development and operations management.
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Recognized expertise in engineering project management and relevant experience in construction, planning, and estimating.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and judgment.
  • Acts ethically and demonstrates a high capacity for collaboration.
