Maintenance Technician - Industrial Equipment

Job Summary:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on packaging and process equipment, including conveyor systems, rotary filling equipment, and automated boxing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in equipment technology.

Requirements:

  • Valid Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in food manufacturing maintenance a plus.
  • Ammonia refrigeration/boiler experience an asset.
  • PLC controls and programming systems knowledge beneficial.
  • Demonstrated success in safety standards application and promotion of a safe working environment.
  • Tig welding and milling skills a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
  • Strong, independent individual with team player qualities.

Work Environment:

Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 3pm-11:30pm.
