Sustainability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Flexible Sustainability Engineer to join our team at JobContax. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and impactful projects.
About the RoleAs a Senior Flexible Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible for producing thermal models and simulations using IES VE to demonstrate regulatory compliance. You will work closely with our team to provide Part L and NZEB advice on a range of projects, conduct site inspections and energy surveys, and assess building services equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Produce energy calculations, heating analysis, and generate building thermal loads using IES VE.
- Carry out non-domestic BER assessments and BER upgrade reports to achieve A or B rated buildings.
- Provide Part L and NZEB advice on a range of projects.
- Conduct site inspections and energy surveys.
- Assess building services equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, and controls systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Mechanical or Sustainability background is advantageous.
- 1-2 years of experience in Thermal Modelling using IES VE with a solid understanding of MEP services and current Building Regulations.
- Ability to carry out IES Thermal Modelling, Sustainability, Mechanical, and IES VE Heat Loads Energy Calculations.
- Up-to-date knowledge of energy upgrade projects in line with current best practices.
