Dental Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dental Support Specialist to join our team at Sharing Smiles Dental. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the RoleThis role will provide administrative support to our dental laboratory and reception area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for dental examinations, ordering dental and office supplies, performing administrative functions for the laboratory, and maintaining and ordering supplies.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for dental examinations by collecting medical history, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Order dental and office supplies to maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace.
- Perform various administrative tasks for the dental laboratory, including scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and sending reminders.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and supply inventory.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring timely arrival and departure of patients.
- Develop X-rays as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Invoice patients for dental services, providing clear and detailed explanations of charges.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You must also be able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing situations, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A college diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field (e.g., health sciences, business administration).
- At least 7 months of experience in an administrative or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
