About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Mountains and Meadows Care Group. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Service: Serve meal trays and feed patients as needed.
  • Mobility Assistance: Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Communication: Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.
  • Housekeeping: Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to a high standard.
  • Transportation: Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher as required.
  • First Aid: Administer first aid in emergency situations.
Requirements
  • Certification: Continuing Care Assistant Certification.
  • Security Clearance: Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is required.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
