Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Crisis Intervention Specialist with Alberta Health Services, you will utilize a range of therapeutic approaches to support individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based interventions, assessments, and case management services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns
  • Conduct thorough assessments to inform treatment planning and decision-making
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth care transitions
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health topics

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing is required. Additionally, active registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in child and youth mental health specialization would be an asset.
