About the Role

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a skilled Ramp Agent to join our team. As a Ramp Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety and security of the ramp at all times.
  • Assist in ramp set up and storage of equipment and baggage.
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) and report hazards and incidents.
  • Marshal aircraft on the ramp, including directing, assisting, and parking arriving, departing, and towed aircraft.
  • Handle customer baggage and airfreight with care, including loading and offloading aircraft, sorting, and transferring baggage to carousels.
  • Service aircraft as needed, including lavatories, potable water fills, cabin grooming, and deicing.
  • Observe safe ground-handling procedures and maintain ground service equipment.
  • Communicate with flight crew personnel and other ground personnel.
Requirements
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada.
  • Obtain a clear criminal record.
  • Ability to obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances.
  • Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23kg) on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
