This high-end culinary career offers a unique chance to lead a multicultural kitchen brigade in a prestigious fine dining restaurant in the Cayman Islands. An ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be hands-on, and have a passion for Mediterranean and international flavors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing a culinary wow factor that appeals to local and international guests

• Preparing menu items, including desserts

• Executing and/or assisting on the line during service

• Ensuring proper sanitation and safety standards are upheld

• Implementing ongoing training and teaching of the kitchen brigade

• Maintaining inventory of items with a focus on budgeting, cost analysis, and planning

• Maintaining a positive environment to encourage growth and diversity within the workplace

Mandatory requirements include:

• Knowledge of current restaurant culinary trends in seafood and international cuisine

• Hands-on experience in a major city trend-setting restaurant

• Post-secondary degree in Culinary Arts or industry equivalent experience with at least 3 years' experience working as a Restaurant Head Chef in a quality trend-setting restaurant like O&B

Solid understanding of menu planning, complete with cost analysis, portioning, and plate presentation is essential. Full knowledge of inventory control measures, including the ability to develop and execute, is also required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a small kitchen team are necessary.

This position offers an excellent salary of between $60,000 to $65,000 net tax-free, annual vacation, and benefits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for their own accommodation on the island. Compensation details include:
