Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Diamond Canada Dearness Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training for maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain our facilities.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
  • Reporting and Coordination: Prepare and maintain progress reports and establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Supervision and Scheduling: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of maintenance workers, and possibly review their work.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
