Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team at OZZ Electric BC. As a key member on the tools, you will be responsible for mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen in building state-of-the-art projects for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications.
- Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
- Terminate wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices.
- Observe functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
Requirements
- Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset).
- Experience working on high-rise and/or commercial new construction projects.
- Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Field Safety Representative ticket is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines.
- Local work in the lower mainland.
