Social Innovation and Community Development Instructor
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced instructor to join our team at Ka Ni Kanichihk Inc. as a Social Innovation and Community Development Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing post-secondary education that prepares adult learners for a career in the Community Development field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lessons within hybrid learning environments
- Utilize knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting principles
- Evaluate student performance, grading, and revising content as required
- Monitor academic progress and provide feedback in a diplomatic and timely fashion
- Classroom management to ensure a smooth and effective class for all attendees
- Provide additional support to students in achieving goals and provide community-centered supports and resources if required
Requirements:
- Two+ years' of experience in teaching or training adult learners, preferably in a vocational college setting or similar
- Post-Secondary Education in Education, Teaching for Life, is considered an asset
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Dependable, approachable, adaptable and flexible
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, must thrive in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to the strengths and values of Indigenous knowledge, cultural reclamation and traditional practices
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable problem solver that enjoys critical thinking
