Database Developer and Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Principal Consultant, Database Developer to join our team. As a key member of our database development team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining databases that meet company and performance requirements.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols, ensuring all database programs meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, code, and maintain databases to ensure stability, reliability, and performance.
- Research and recommend new database products, services, and protocols.
- Collaborate with other database teams and application owners.
- Modify databases according to requests and perform tests.
- Maintain and own databases in all environments.
- BE/B Tech/MCA degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, science, statistics, math) or equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience.
- Experience with presentation-layer reporting applications (Tableau, SSAS, Cognos, BO) with an understanding of data warehousing and data modeling methodologies.
- Experience in Power BI.
- Knowledge of standard methodologies when dealing with relational databases.
- An ability to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
- Knowledge on Control-M Job configuration and scheduling; File transfer mechanisms.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN; merging and creating production scripts.
- Sqlserver DB coding, DB scheduling tools, File transfer mechanisms, DB DevOps.
A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development.
