Senior Physiotherapy Specialist

This position offers a unique blend of clinical leadership and community involvement in the scenic town of Rimbey, Alberta. As a Senior Physiotherapy Specialist, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive physiotherapy services to patients in various settings.
About the Role:
You will work closely with healthcare professionals to assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions for clients across the lifespan. Your expertise will enable you to make informed decisions on complex clinical cases, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective client care. Additionally, you will contribute to program development, operational planning, and represent the department on committees or programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate physiotherapy services, including supervision of students and team members as assigned
- Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing leadership to other healthcare professionals
- Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up
- Ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence-based and aligned with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current AADL Authorizer preferred
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $93,000 - $126,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This figure includes a base salary plus additional compensation for senior leadership responsibilities.
