Kitchen Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at INNISFAIL HOTEL. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient kitchen procedures to meet production schedules and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for food and supplies, ensuring effective resource allocation and minimizing waste.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for kitchen operations and budgeting.
  • Prepare and review food order summaries for the chef, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of menu items.
  • Supervise and inspect the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
Supervision and Support:
  • Lead a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success and growth.
  • Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities to staff members, promoting career development and advancement.
Work Environment:
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
