Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Lally Bros Holding Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure that our trucks are always in good working condition.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the longevity of our vehicles.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of all cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, good judgment, and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
