About Our Role:
We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Technician to join our team in Edmonton, Canada. As an Apprentice Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer locations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- You will perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at varied customer locations, as directed.
- Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine the cause of equipment malfunctions and establish necessary repairs.
- Document findings and make corrective recommendations during the safety review to the customer, including a written notification of any observed or known safety concerns, if appropriate.
- Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety-related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist them in improving their safety and productivity.
- Complete and provide proper electronic documentation utilizing the established company digital tools required for each service, obtaining the customer's signature and acceptance.
Your Requirements:
- You must have an Associate degree in industrial or electrical/mechanical technology with a related field or equivalent experience.
- You should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field, depending on provincial legislative requirements and CSA standards.
- You must have a good driving record, including a valid driver's license, and be willing, fit, and able to work at heights/climb ladders/walkways.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
