Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Job Summary:

Circle of Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide high-quality care to seniors in their homes. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing personal care, companionship, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to seniors, including grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation
  • Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Travel to and from clients' homes throughout the day

Requirements:

  • Current Immunization Records
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English
  • Able to access and utilize ZOOM
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a curriculum approved by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities or Ministry of Education OR
  • Developmental Support Worker (DSW) Certification OR
  • Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) student with a minimum successful completion of one year of school OR
  • Foreign-trained Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Midwife or Physician

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Home Support Worker (Level II or Level III) Certification OR
  • Health Care Aide or Personal Attendant PA+2 OR
  • Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)/Paramedic Certificate OR
  • Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant/Communications Disorder Assistant Certificate from a recognized community college OR
  • Is registered with and/or successfully completed the Certification exam required to register with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC); OR
  • Foreign-trained Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Social Worker, Dietician
