This position works remotely in the Rapid Diagnostics Division (ARDx). Abbott's rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges.
As the Strategic Business Manager, you will manage pharmacy banners and distributors, as well as engagement of provincial and territorial POCT stakeholders across Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a robust territorial strategy for POCT in the clinical and pharmacy markets compliant with Abbott policy.
- Responsible for promoting, selling and managing the complete line of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious disease, Cardiometabolic, Toxicology products and a broad portfolio of third-party products by building contacts/contracts across the territory.
- The SBM candidate is responsible for achieving national sales goals and is responsible for implementing the company's sales and marketing strategy; identifying, and qualifying leads while consistently closing business to meet or exceed their pharmacy and distributor sales quota and goals.
- Bachelor's Degree required (M.Sc preferred)
- 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Sales and distribution experience (pharmacy, hospital or lab)
- Willingness to travel (60%)
- Thorough knowledge of Healthcare Diagnostics, POC market and microbiology
- Demonstrated territory management skills
- Ability to work independently under pressure
- Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills
- Good working skills using Windows Microsoft Office and other relevant sales software such as Salesforce.com
