As a key member of our team, you will drive business development efforts to expand Seaspan Shipyards' presence in the market. This role requires a strategic approach to identifying and capturing new opportunities, leveraging your expertise in complex deal-making and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and pursue new growth opportunities.
  • Leverage industry partnerships and supplier arrangements to enhance capture strategies.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive proposal activities and deliver winning solutions.
  • Maintain key relationships with government and industry stakeholders to stay informed about market trends and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the shipbuilding or defense industries.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in identifying and closing complex deals, with contract values over $5M.
  • Strong understanding of technical, programmatic, financial, and commercial aspects of complex deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or economics.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a highly competitive salary range of $169,800 - $203,800.
