About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Director to lead our Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales operation. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for establishing department objectives and pursuing them through planning, organizing, controlling, and measuring performance.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising, directing, and leading in all aspects of the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales operation.
  • Implementing all systems, scheduling, and procedures in the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales operation.
  • Developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Planning and executing monthly and annual objectives for vehicle sales, gross profit, and expense management.
  • Preparing and managing the departmental budget with the General Manager.
  • Forecasting, targeting, and tracking monthly sales, profit, and expense objectives.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing vehicle sales standard operating procedures and systems for customer follow-up and communication.
  • Working closely with Sales Consultants and Finance & Insurance Managers to coach and improve performance relating to vehicle and product sales, including vehicle trade-in opportunities.
  • Managing the customer relationship management system to ensure accurate reporting and recording of transactions.
  • Managing new vehicle inventory and maintaining a well-balanced inventory to sell each vehicle with maximum gross and minimum expense.
  • Ensuring correct purchasing and price evaluation decisions when purchasing vehicles.
  • Ensuring compliance with all required licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Tracking and posting daily sales performance.
  • Maintaining and tracking marketing and promotional programs.

About You

As a highly experienced and motivated individual, you will have a strong background and proven experience in customer service and dealership environments, including:

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in dealership/automotive sales.
  • A Secondary School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in working with ERP/DMS and CRM systems (e.g., CDK/Reynolds, DealerTrack, One Eighty).
  • A valid OMVIC License and Driver's License with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • The ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and strategic thinking.
  • The ability to maintain professionalism and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivation and a passion for excellence in execution.
