Job DescriptionAs a Senior Director, Asset Management, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic plans for real estate and leasing initiatives across Fraser Health. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and negotiating leases to optimize our portfolio.
You will work closely with our leadership team, stakeholders, and external partners to drive business results and improve operational efficiency. Your expertise in real estate development, First Nations consultation, property management, legal contracts, complex transactions, and real estate evaluation will be invaluable in this role.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our staff, customers, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze market trends and develop strategic plans for real estate and leasing initiatives
- Negotiate leases and manage contract negotiations
- Manage corporate contracts, dispositions, lease strategies, and real estate disposal initiatives
- Develop and propose business cases with short and long-term budget commitments
- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate existing real estate processes and guidelines for effectiveness, practicality, and application
- Provide specialized real estate services for owned, leased, and contracted premises
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Urban Land Economics, or related discipline, supplemented by 7-10 years of experience in leadership roles in the public, private, and/or commercial real estate fields.
Professional/Technical Capabilities:
- Specialized knowledge of legislation, by-laws, codes, and provincial/national standards
- Proven initiative, judgment, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to prudently manage and balance corporate budgets
- Proven ability to implement and manage change initiatives and create innovative solutions
- Ability to foster cooperation and build solid relationships with public agencies, First Nations, government offices, committees, and other partners
