About the Role

HUB International Ontario Limited is seeking a highly skilled Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our account management team, you will be responsible for managing an existing book of business, handling client queries, and ensuring new business and retention targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of an existing book of business, including client relationships and account growth
  • Handle incoming and outgoing client query calls, as well as priority mail, to ensure timely and effective communication
  • Ensure new business and retention targets are met, including through re-marketing and cross-selling opportunities
  • Act on cross-sell opportunities and obtain referrals where possible
  • Upsell existing clients and maintain a strong understanding of their needs and preferences
  • Conduct proactive mid-renewal calls to review information and provide advice accordingly
  • Promptly respond to all customer inquiries, providing effective and efficient customer service
  • Resolve client concerns and complaints while maintaining service excellence standards
  • Input and update customer data and document all customer interactions
  • Maintain acceptable accounts receivable and underwriting knowledge of each market, utilizing portals for policy changes and inquiries
  • Assist in training junior team members as needed
  • Rate and quote new and renewal personal lines risks
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company procedures, participating in training and education seminars as necessary
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the insurance industry, preferably within Personal Lines
  • RIBO license required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with EPIC broker management system an asset
