Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at SP Trucklines Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Accounting Tasks: Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports as required.
  • Support for Youth and Mature Workers: Provide on-the-job training tailored to youth and apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
