Job Title: Inventory Control Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Technician to join our team at Lineage Logistics.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. This includes coordinating with various departments to meet customer demands, implementing operational processes, and performing quality checks on shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a culture where health and safety is the priority and comply with all regulatory and company safety requirements.
  • Support the different operational departments according to the priorities of the warehouse activities.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications by working with the warehouse team to meet established expectations.
  • Implement operational processes through work instructions adapted to customer demands, while optimizing warehouse capacities to meet and/or exceed customer requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise by checking for discrepancies in quantity, product code, lot and damage.
  • Coordinate meat import/export inspections with CFIA inspector according to priorities and needs.
  • Provide support to operations in the coordination of special customer projects.
  • Perform random quality checks on shipments, verifying various quality parameters.
  • Perform weekly counts and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate physical inventory procedures.
  • Manage customer complaints.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the loss prevention program.
Essential Requirements:
  • Be available for flexible hours for approximately 20% of the year to assist with vacation replacements and other planned or unplanned absences.
  • Committed to providing an exceptional experience to customers as well as internal and external contacts.
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards the various issues to be resolved.
  • A strong sense of initiative to prioritize tasks.
  • Autonomy to manage time according to objectives and to solve problems creatively.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Good judgment.
