About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geomatics Support Specialist to join our team at Cansel in Alberta. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend sales calls with Account Managers and sales professionals to provide technical sales presentations.
  • Conduct product training in a classroom environment and/or online, ensuring our customers have the necessary skills to effectively utilize our solutions.
  • Provide exceptional technical support to our clients, addressing their concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Develop customized solutions tailored to our customers' needs, utilizing your advanced knowledge of geomatics and surveying.
  • Assist in the development of product-related instructional programs, educational materials, and technical support documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education in Geomatics, Surveying or Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fine-tuned customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
  • High diagnostic, analytical, and creative skills, allowing you to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with GPS and conventional surveying, data processing, as well as 3D scanning workflows.
  • Field experience with Trimble equipment, terrestrial and SLAM laser scanners is a definite asset.
  • A valid driving license and vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications

Bonus points for candidates with experience in:

  • Mobile Mapping and UAV/Drone data collection and processing.
  • Ability to communicate in French.
