About the Role

BC Hydro is seeking a highly skilled Power Line Technician Foreman/Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our transmission line maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power grid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise a team of power line technicians to ensure the completion of maintenance and repair tasks on our transmission lines.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to your team, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with BC Hydro's safety standards and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with your team, other departments, and external stakeholders to ensure that all work is coordinated and completed efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that may arise during maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of pre-apprenticeship and level one apprenticeship training.
  • Experience: Will train and gain experience in the field.

  • Work Environment: 37.5 hours per week, working on transmission lines in various weather conditions.
