We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring food safety and quality assurance in our manufacturing processes, adhering to Riverside and BRC Food Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and uphold Riverside's core values and BRC Food Safety standards
  • Provide training to Senior Operators on Critical to Quality and CCP checks, as well as analytical testing
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of a food safety culture among employees through monthly talks and assessments
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections, verify procedures and records, and perform scheduled GMP audits
  • Communicate test results, recommend operations improvements, and maintain accurate records
  • Sample and perform sensory evaluations of incoming ingredients and finished products, verifying packaging artwork and conducting qualitative and quantitative testing
  • Perform scheduled glass inspections, environmental, and sanitation swabbing, as well as verification of COA, sampling, and receiving of raw materials
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance, preferably in the food industry
  • Post-secondary education in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work with accuracy, and familiarity with GFSI schemes (BRC), GMP, and HACCP
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills, self-starter attitude, and adaptability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to convey complex information, and a positive attitude
