Support Assistant for Individuals with Visual Impairment

We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to join our team at LAM'S MOM CARE. This role involves providing exceptional support to individuals with visual impairments, ensuring their daily needs are met with care and compassion.
About the Role:
This is a permanent position working 35-37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will require a secondary school graduation certificate, and we will provide comprehensive training to ensure they excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering medications as prescribed by medical professionals
- Providing assistance with bathing and personal hygiene
- Accompanying clients during exercise routines (e.g., walking)
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Delivering personal care services tailored to individual needs
- Chef-preparing nutritious meals that cater to dietary requirements
Work Environment:
- A non-smoking work environment that prioritizes health and wellness
- Varying locations, including client homes and employer facilities
- Relocation costs are not covered by the employer
Requirements:
- Mandatory criminal record check prior to employment
- Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing, and walking
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
- Lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) may be required
