Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at the Manitoulin Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and serve guests, answer questions, and address any concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Present menus, take orders, and serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of wines, wine glassware, and other supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other service staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service and meet guest needs.
  • Cash Handling and Sales: Balance cash, record sales, and process payments in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in food and beverage orders, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently, prioritizing tasks, and managing your time effectively to meet guest needs and deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
