Job Summary:

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the plant, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This includes performing tasks related to start-up and shutdown, maintaining logs and reports, and troubleshooting process upsets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including filter maintenance and chemical handling.
  • Monitor and interpret flow meters and other gauges to determine operating efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Requirements:

  • Safety-oriented mindset and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • High school education and post-secondary or trades degree is an asset.
  • Familiarity with water treatment equipment is a plus.
