Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical/material properties characterization under ISO/ASTM standards, including powder testing, metallography, chemical analysis, physical, mechanical testing, and NDT
  • Support our activities with regards to ISO and NADCAP accreditations for materials and mechanical testing lab
  • Write, contribute to, and review specifications, control documents, reports, and standard operating procedures for materials development and mechanical testing
  • Support our activities for research and development programs on materials and process development for additive manufacturing
  • It is imperative that the successful candidate can quickly learn technical procedures as they will be trained by our Engineering team on the specific equipment and standardized testing that is being performed
  • Any other tasks required by the manager

Qualifications:

  • High school or college technical degree
  • Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple tasks/projects, diversified workload, and rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
  • 5+ years of experience working in an industrial laboratory
  • Metals processing equipment and/or powder testing in an industrial environment is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple tasks/projects, diversified workload, and rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
  • Performed mechanical/material properties characterization under ISO/ASTM standards, including powder testing, metallography, chemical analysis, physical, and mechanical testing
  • Ability to multitask, teamwork, and schedule management
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
