The Building Operations Technician will be responsible for performing preventative and demand maintenance for the Royal BC Museum facility. This will involve monitoring the conditions within the facility and grounds to ensure that the building operates within the designed environmental thresholds.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and demand maintenance tasks to ensure the facility operates within designed environmental thresholds
  • Monitor building systems and report any issues or concerns to the Project Manager
  • Assist with work order requests and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
  • Provide access and operational support to subcontractors performing work on our behalf
  • Respond to tenant requests and provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience in building operations or a related field
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
