Senior Business Development Leader

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Leader to join our team at WESCO Distribution.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading business development efforts, identifying new market opportunities, and driving revenue growth. They will also oversee the development of effective business plans, manage research activities, and analyze financial data to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, increase revenue, and expand into new markets.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of experienced Business Development professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, including revenue projections, profit margins, and expense reports, to inform business development decisions.
- Negotiation and Partnership Building: Represent WESCO in negotiations with potential partners, vendors, and suppliers, and establish strong relationships to drive business growth.
- Reporting and Communication: Regularly report on business development progress, results, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the distribution industry
- Familiarity with financial modeling and analysis tools
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
Compensation: The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
