The Job

We're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Officer to drive new business growth in the region. As part of our team, you'll achieve annual revenue objectives through consultative sales to new clients and renewal of existing policies.

You'll build a portfolio of business that aligns with Coface's strategic growth and retention goals, generating leads from banks and insurance agencies, and direct cold calling to business owners and CFOs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Marketing and selling specialized financial products (domestic and export credit insurance and other credit related services) to corporations within assigned regions.
  • Servicing new and existing clients by monitoring their programs and coverage.
  • Researching and recommending prospects for new business opportunities, as well as researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Attending workshops to learn more technical and professional skills for the job.
  • Staying current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.

The Candidate

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' proven experience selling B2B; Insurance and Trade Credit a plus.
  • Cold-calling and hunting for new business skills required. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of activity.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Robust network in designated territory.
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, as well as work collaboratively in a team environment when needed.
  • Ability to pass required insurance licensing 60 days post start date.

Salary Information

Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
