Strategic Clinical Coordinator for Process Development

BC Cancer is seeking a skilled Strategic Clinical Coordinator to play a key role in the development and implementation of clinical processes.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with senior leadership, management teams, and other internal and external stakeholders. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead, plan, design, implement, maintain, and evaluate assigned initiatives that facilitate system-wide process improvement.

This position requires strong coordination and project management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the healthcare system and experience in leading complex clinical initiatives.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $88,990-$127,923 per year, based on the location and requirements of the job. This figure may vary depending on the individual's qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate evidence-based planning and design of assigned initiatives
  • Lead the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of initiative activities and ensure adherence to systems, practices, policies, and timelines
  • Determine, develop, and evaluate processes, guidelines, and pathways for assigned initiatives that ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation, including action and decision logs
  • Liaise with organizations, agencies, and communities to identify and document deliverables
  • Provide education about projects to individuals, groups, organizations, and communities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Five to seven years of recent, related healthcare experience, including two years in a coordinating/project management and systems development role
  • Extensive knowledge of the healthcare system and its interdependence with other clinical programs/services
  • Ability to lead, plan, implement, and manage large, complex clinical initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
