Overview of the Operating Room Nurse Role

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $60.00 to $65.00 per hour, ensuring a competitive compensation package. This rate reflects the demands of the position and the expertise required to excel in the Operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the nursing facility's policies, procedures, and standards. This involves completing medical records in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment by adhering to all relevant laws and guidelines. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient health status and progress, communicating effectively with physicians and staff members to plan patient care, and providing timely updates on patient status.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse, hold active BLS/CPR certification, and have peri-operative certification. Additionally, knowledge of operating room practices is essential, along with immunization records (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Two-Step TB or Chest X-Ray). A strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations is also vital for success.

Other Information
