We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at MAPLE41 Construction Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, setting tiles in place, and aligning and straightening tiles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces to be covered, ensuring they are clean and dry
  • Mix and apply adhesives to the surface, following manufacturer instructions
  • Set tiles in place, using a level to ensure they are straight and even
  • Align and straighten tiles, using spacers to maintain uniform spacing
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles, removing excess grout to achieve a uniform appearance
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a seamless finish
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, as required
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite surfaces, adhering to manufacturer specifications
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, achieving a smooth and durable finish
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, bending, and lifting
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
