About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Physician to join our team at Nithview Community, a seniors' community providing various types of accommodation and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Long Term Care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to assigned residents on a weekly basis
  • Address resident acute and chronic care needs and provide timely documentation
  • Identify circumstances where palliative and/or end-of-life care may benefit residents and their families, and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team
  • Work effectively with the medical director and other team members to ensure the highest level of care is provided to residents
  • Conduct regular medication reviews and update resident health records
  • Participate in after-hours on-call
  • Commit to ongoing education related to Long Term Care, care of the elderly, palliative care, and dementia care
  • Participate in physician peer review to continually improve resident care
Requirements
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario License (required)
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care setting is preferred
