Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist - Crisis Intervention to join our team. This role will involve providing comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and coordination of referrals for adolescents and families in crisis. The successful candidate will have experience in adolescent crisis intervention and a strong understanding of mental health issues affecting this population.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' social, emotional, and cultural needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including individual and family therapy
  • Coordinate referrals to community resources and agencies
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and staff on mental health issues and interventions
  • Network with community agencies and healthcare providers to enhance collaboration and service delivery

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's degree in an applicable field (e.g., counseling, psychology)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in adolescent crisis intervention or a related field
  • Registration with a relevant professional association (e.g., BC College of Social Workers)
  • Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. They will also be required to travel to various locations throughout the region. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are necessary for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $45-$55 per hour. Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and extended health coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and advancement.
