Minerai de fer Québec is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fermont, Quebec. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mining equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Work with our production team to identify and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
  • Collaborate with our maintenance team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • DEP in site machine mechanics or equivalent mechanical training.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of mining equipment, with a focus on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
