Job Summary

Job Title: Heavy Duty Cleaner

Location: Juravinski Hospital

Job Type: On-Call

Wage: $19.62/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Juravinski Hospital. As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all hard floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  • Collect and remove garbage from drop points to a garbage bin or compactor.
  • Transport maintenance machinery between floors and job sites.
  • Clean glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding, or other extension equipment to reach.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and dust ceiling light fixtures and ceiling fans.
  • Use pile lifting equipment to restore certain types of carpet.
  • Shampoo broadloom and use extracting equipment to clean broadloom.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience is required.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum).
  • Physically able to carry out duties of the position.
