Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join their team in the Winnipeg branch.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to branch staff, ensuring hardware and software are functioning properly, and troubleshooting issues. They will also manage system access requests, coordinate training sessions, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to branch staff, including resolving hardware and software issues, setting up VPN/Citrix/BYOD Mobility, and managing system access requests.
  • Coordinate training sessions for new employees and conduct yearly control and application risk audit attestations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.
  • Liaise with back-office teams to investigate application and technical support issues, provide timely updates to users, and escalate when necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support or IT operations.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
