Application Support Analyst

Job Summary:
The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Application Support BI Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Business and Vital Event Registries unit, you will be responsible for delivering critical and time-sensitive services to Albertans and other extra-provincial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee key applications and teams supporting them, strategically planning for future improvements.
- Utilize knowledge of systems, processes, analytics, business intelligence, and reporting to support design and development of new functionality within existing systems for business processing activities.
- Conduct business requirements gathering, analyze results, prepare reports of findings, make recommendations, liaise with stakeholders, implement and test requirements, and monitor day-to-day activities.
- Participate in Acceptance Testing of systems enhancements and participate in all Corporate Registry projects involving system analysis, changes, and enhancements to the CORES and associated sub-systems.
- Support cross-jurisdictional work to understand and facilitate the transfer of data between jurisdictions.
- Provide internal and external support services to end-users of the CORES and associated sub-systems network.
Requirements:
- University degree in a related field such as Public Administration, Arts, Business, or any other related field supplemented by at least two (2) years of related experience.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of registry systems/databases and their interfaces.
- Extensive experience managing competing projects and priorities within tight timelines.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8:15 am - 4:30 pm, located in the Brownlee Building, 10365 – 97 Street, Edmonton, AB.
