Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Vistra Fund Services (Canada) Inc.

Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for planning, setting up, and administering accounting systems, supervising staff, preparing financial information for individuals, departments, or companies, and developing and maintaining cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are meeting their financial reporting and accounting responsibilities.
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies, including financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Examine accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide financial, business, and tax advice to management and staff.
  • Perform administrative and office activities as required.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
