Salary and Benefits


We offer a competitive salary range of $26.37 to $29.34 per hour, plus a current shift premium of $1.25 per hour. In addition, our benefits package includes company-paid medical and life insurance, profit-sharing bonuses, a company-contributed pension plan, fitness membership reimbursement, annual safety boot allowance, supplied uniforms, and PPE.


Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for lifting, assembling, and tacking joist pieces at the jig, reading and interpreting shop drawings, helping set up the jig as required, keeping work areas clean and following 5S standards, complying with health and safety policies and procedures, and performing other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To excel in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to produce clean, accurate welds, pass CWB welding tests, regularly push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds, stand continuously, and hold a welding gun. Welding experience or training in a manufacturing environment is preferred, as is the ability to communicate, read, and write in English.


Physical Demands


This role requires the ability to stand continuously, walk frequently, and occasionally sit. The nature of the position involves a wide range of physical activities, including pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying heavy objects (60-100 lbs.), climbing, crouching, kneeling, bending, and handling.


Work Environment


You will be working near moving mechanical parts and machinery, potentially exposed to fumes and airborne particulates, electric shock, UV light radiation, open flames, sparks, and other sources of burn hazards. It's essential to use appropriate hearing protection at all times and wear personal protective equipment correctly.
