About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Security Architect to join our team at ION. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a challenging project that will allow you to showcase your technical skills and expertise.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning our security strategy, security design, and controls engineering with our infrastructure/platform roadmap. You will also be responsible for providing transparency to leadership on platform/infrastructure control performance and associated risk.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and identify security events and emerging threats associated with the platform and any dependencies;
  • Act as the interface between CSIRT and Infrastructure/Platform teams as part of security incident activities;
  • Deliver threat modeling and hunting to identify vulnerabilities in platform/infrastructure design and provide control recommendations to mitigate those risks;
  • Engage in architecture and design reviews to ensure platform alignment with Security strategy and industry best practices;
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory standards that may impact product implementations;
  • Support the engineering of control solutions where existing offerings are not available;
  • Provide security expertise during incident and problem management;
  • Produce threat intelligence briefings and other work products to share information across the organization;
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for platform security-related guidance.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security management, governance, and compliance principles, practices, laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Strong knowledge of information technology systems and processes, network infrastructure, data architecture, data processes, and protocols;
  • Proficiency in common security tools, such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and EDR products;
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Experience with threat modeling and hunting, security incident management, and risk assessment.
